Tim Hortons Timbits in Canada

Tim Hortons Timbits

Tim Hortons Timbits are the bite sized donut holes that have sat in the bakery case since 1976, and 2026 marks fifty years on the menu. The official guide lists 15 flavours for Canada. This page lists every one of them with a checked price and the official calorie count beside it, plus the three box sizes and what each box works out to per piece.

Prices work simply here. One Timbit runs $0.35 to $0.49, the cheapest single item on the menu, and the boxes of 10, 20 and 50 are where the per piece price falls. Prices vary by restaurant, so every figure below is a band checked for the Donuts and Timbits hub on October 28, 2026. Calories come from one source only, the official Tim Hortons Nutrition Guide, Canadian Edition, July 2026. Where that guide prints no row, for the filled flavours that rotate through stores, this page says so instead of guessing. The full case, donuts included, sits on our Donuts and Timbits page.

The flavours with cards

Six of the guide flavours carry cards below, along with the three boxes. These are the pieces most stores sell the most of: the glazed and cake styles that mirror the donut case, from the Honey Dip at 50 calories up to the Sour Cream Glazed at 90. The Chocolate Glazed is the one Canadians reach for first: Tim Hortons’ own newsroom named it the most popular classic Timbit flavour in Canada in 2025, as it has been for several years running.

One Timbit runs $0.35 to $0.49, checked on October 28, 2026, and prices vary by restaurant. The pack calorie spans follow the flavour mix in the box; they are arithmetic on the guide per piece figures, not guide rows. Calories come from the official Tim Hortons Nutrition Guide, Canadian Edition, July 2026.

The nine flavours without a photo

The guide lists nine more flavours that have no card, because no photo exists for them on this site. They sell at the same single piece band as the card flavours, $0.35 to $0.49, and the table gives each one its official calorie count. The three lightest Timbit flavours in the whole guide sit in this table: Strawberry and Venetian Cream at 50 calories, level with the Honey Dip on the cards above.

FlavourPrice (one piece)Calories
Strawberry Timbit$0.35 to $0.4950 cal
Venetian Cream Timbit$0.35 to $0.4950 cal
Chocolate Snow Ball Timbit$0.35 to $0.4970 cal

Toasted Coconut Timbit$0.35 to $0.4990 cal

Filled Timbits rotate through stores alongside these 15, in builds like blueberry cheesecake and crème brûlée. They can cost a bit more than a standard piece, and the official guide prints no rows for them, so this page lists no calories for the filled line. Seasonal runs come and go the same way: a summer bucket of 30 Timbits shows up in the warm months at about $10.99, priced for the bucket rather than the pieces.

Boxes and the box math

Boxes are where the per piece price falls. The guide prints no rows for any box, so the pack calorie totals below are spans that follow the mix, from an all light box to an all heavy one.

PackPriceCalories
One Timbit$0.35 to $0.4950 to 90 by flavour
10 Assorted Timbits$3.99 to $4.19By flavour mix, 500 to 900
20 Assorted TimbitsAbout $6.39By flavour mix, 1,000 to 1,800
50 Assorted Timbits$11.99 to $12.99By flavour mix, 2,500 to 4,500

The math runs one way. One piece can run $0.49 on its own. In a box of 10, each piece works out to about 40 cents. A 20 pack brings it to about 32 cents, and the 50 pack to about 24 cents a piece, the best per piece price in the store. Even two 20 packs cost more than one 50 box, so when the group is big enough, size up. Delivery apps price the same boxes higher again, so a box always costs less at the counter or on a pickup order. In Quebec the same product answers to trous de beigne on the street, though the board still says Timbits.

Timbits or donuts for the group?

For one person with a coffee, a full donut is usually the better buy: five Honey Dip Timbits carry 250 calories, exactly the count of one Honey Dip Donut in the guide. For a group, the box wins. A 50 pack feeds a room for about the price of two lattes, which is why it is the box that shows up at hockey rinks, job sites and school staff rooms across the country. A dozen donuts costs more and stops at twelve pieces.

Where to check the rest

Donuts and Timbits share one case and one hub page: the Donuts and Timbits page carries all 36 donuts beside these flavours. Every price on this page also sits in the full list on Tim Hortons Prices. For the numbers behind the tables, the Nutrition Facts page covers all 346 items in the official guide, and anyone ordering for a group with allergies should read the Allergens page first. The whole menu in one place is the Full Menu. The donuts also have their own page: Donuts prices and calories.

FAQs

Timbits are bite sized donut holes sold by Tim Hortons, made from donut dough in the same flavours as the case beside them. They joined the menu in 1976, and 2026 marks fifty years of them. You can buy one piece at a time or a box of 10, 20 or 50.

The standard boxes are 10, 20 and 50. There is no standard 30 or 40 box on the current Canadian menu; a bucket of 30 appears as a seasonal run in the summer. To land on another count, combine boxes: two 20 packs give you 40, though one 50 box costs less.

Timbits are not boxed by the dozen. The boxes are 10, 20 and 50. A box of 10 at $3.99 to $4.19 is the closest size to a dozen, and it costs a fraction of a dozen donuts at $13.99 to $14.49. Per piece, the 50 pack at about 24 cents a Timbit is the cheapest way to buy them.

Between 50 and 90, by flavour, in the official guide. The lightest are the Honey Dip, Strawberry and Venetian Cream at 50 calories each. The heaviest are the Sour Cream Glazed, Chocolate Toasted Coconut and Toasted Coconut at 90. Most glazed pieces sit at 80.

Chocolate Glazed. Tim Hortons’ own newsroom named it the most popular classic Timbit flavour in Canada in 2025, and said it has held that spot for several years running. Honey Dip and Birthday Cake are the other pieces an assorted box tends to lean on.

Yes. Boxes are filled from the case, so you can ask for the mix you want at the counter or the drive-thru: all one flavour, or a set count of each. If a flavour has sold out, the store fills the spot with what is on the tray. The box price stays the box price either way.

They are best the day you buy them. Kept in the box at room temperature, they hold up for a day or two, but the glazed pieces dry out first and the cake styles last the longest. A short warm-up in the microwave softens a day old piece, though it never quite comes back.

Yes. Freeze them in an airtight container or a sealed freezer bag and thaw them at room temperature when you want them. The plain and cake styles freeze best. Glazed pieces can weep a little sugar as they thaw, so they are the ones to eat fresh.

The standard flavours carry no meat ingredients, but they are not vegan: the official guide and allergen information put wheat, milk and egg in the case, and the custard style fillings carry milk as well. Anyone ordering for a mixed group should check the allergen page before the box is ordered.

Fried, like the donuts they come from. Timbits are pieces of donut dough, and both the light yeast styles and the denser cake styles are cooked the same way as the full sized donuts in the case beside them.
