Tim Hortons bagels are the quiet half of the bakery case: eight bagels in the official guide, toasted to order, priced in two plain tiers. The five classics (Plain, Everything, Sesame Seed, 12-Grain and Cinnamon Raisin) share one price everywhere this page checked. The three specialty bagels, the Four Cheese, the Jalapeno Asiago Mozzarella and the Protein Bagel, cost more. Bagel calories sit in a narrow band, 280 to 330, so the real choice is the flavour and what you spread on it.
Prices are shown as ranges on purpose. Tim Hortons does not charge one national price, so what you pay depends on the restaurant. The ranges below were cross-checked against at least two independent Canadian sources for the Baked Goods hub on October 28, 2026, and the sources sit in the research file behind this page. Calories come from one source only, the official Tim Hortons Nutrition Guide, Canadian Edition, July 2026. The muffins, cookies, croissants and the rest of the case sit on the Baked Goods hub; this page is the bagels on their own.

Two tiers run the whole case. The classics are the everyday order: a Plain or Everything at the low price, toasted, with a spread added at the till. The 12-Grain is the hearty classic at 320 calories and 8 grams of fibre, the most fibre of any bagel here. The Cinnamon Raisin is the sweet classic, with 14 grams of sugar baked in.
The specialty tier is where the bagels change character. The Four Cheese carries its cheese baked on top and runs 330 calories. The Jalapeno Asiago Mozzarella has peppers and two cheeses on top, and at 710 mg of sodium it is the saltiest bagel in the guide by a wide margin. The Protein Bagel is the outlier: the lowest calories of the eight at 280, the lowest carbs at 45 grams, and 20 grams of protein, close to double the others. If a bagel has to hold you until lunch, that is the one built for it.

Bagel toppings and spreads
ToppingPlain Cream Cheese
The standard counter spread, in the 100 calorie band with the other cream cheeses.
Spreads are priced as an add on at the till, not as separate menu lines, and no two sources price a single serving the same way, so these cards print the official calories only. Calories come from the official Tim Hortons Nutrition Guide, Canadian Edition, July 2026.
A bagel on its own is a plain start. The spread is where the order changes. The guide lists seven toppings, and they split into three bands. Butter and the two jam packets are the light band at 60 calories each, though the jams bring 14 grams of sugar with them. The three cream cheeses sit at 100 calories each; plain and herb and garlic are the standard counter order. Peanut butter is the heavy band at 110 calories, and it is the only spread that adds real protein, 3 grams on top of the bagel’s own.
No menu site this page checked prices a single spread serving as its own line, because spreads are priced as an add on at the till. So the price column reads “Varies by store” and the table runs on the guide’s calories, which are exact. One figure to ignore elsewhere: several sites list a Philadelphia cream cheese item at 640 calories. That is a take home tub sold in some stores, not the serving spread on your bagel. The guide’s serving is the 100 calorie figure below.
| Item | Price | Calories |
|---|---|---|
| Plain Cream Cheese | Varies by store | 100 cal |
| Herb & Garlic Cream Cheese | Varies by store | 100 cal |
| Strawberry Cream Cheese | Varies by store | 100 cal |
| Butter | Varies by store | 60 cal |
| Strawberry Jam Packet | Varies by store | 60 cal |
| Raspberry Jam Packet | Varies by store | 60 cal |
| Peanut Butter | Varies by store | 110 cal |
The builds below are simple sums of guide rows, and they show the spread at work. An Everything Bagel with plain cream cheese is 390 calories. A Plain Bagel with peanut butter is 400 calories and 12 grams of protein. A Plain Bagel with butter stays at 350. A 12-Grain Bagel with strawberry cream cheese reaches 420. A Protein Bagel with herb and garlic cream cheese is 380 calories and 22 grams of protein, the strongest protein build in the case that is not a sandwich.
A box of six, and the bagel as a sandwich
For an office or a house full of people, six assorted bagels run $10.49 at every source checked for this page, against about $13.14 to $13.74 for six classics bought one at a time. The guide prints no box row, so the box carries no calorie figure here.
The same bagels filled with egg, bacon, lettuce and tomato live on the Breakfast page, where the Bagel BELT and the bagel breakfast sandwiches sit with their own guide calories. This page covers the bagel itself and its spreads only.
More from the bakery case
The bagels are one shelf of a bigger case. The full run of muffins, cookies, croissants, tea biscuits and pastries sits with the bagels on the Baked Goods hub. For the whole menu in one place, see the Full Menu, and for every item’s price side by side, the Prices page. Full nutrition for all 346 items in the official guide is on the Nutrition Facts page, and dairy and other allergen detail for every bagel and spread is on the Allergens page.
FAQs
Eight, in the official guide. The classic five are Plain, Everything, Sesame Seed, 12-Grain and Cinnamon Raisin, all $2.19 to $2.29. The specialty three are the Four Cheese and the Jalapeno Asiago Mozzarella at $2.79 to $2.99, and the Protein Bagel at $2.99. Bagel calories run from 280 for the Protein Bagel to 330 for the Four Cheese.
Some do. The Four Cheese and Jalapeno Asiago Mozzarella bagels have cheese baked on top, and most of the spread list is dairy: three cream cheeses and butter. The nutrition guide does not print allergen detail for the plain bagel doughs, so if dairy is a hard limit for you, check the Allergens page or ask at the counter before you order.
Yes. The Jalapeno Asiago Mozzarella Bagel has peppers and a blend of asiago and mozzarella baked on top. It runs $2.79 to $2.99 and 320 calories in the official guide, and at 710 mg of sodium it is the saltiest bagel on the menu.
There is no salt bagel in the current Canadian guide. The closest item is the Everything Bagel, which is topped with sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried onion, garlic and salt, and runs 290 calories at $2.19 to $2.29.
Not from scratch in the store. Since 2003, Tim Hortons has par baked its baked goods at a plant in Brantford, Ontario, then flash frozen and shipped them to each restaurant, where staff finish them in the store’s ovens. That system covers the whole bakery case, which is why a bagel in Halifax and a bagel in Winnipeg come out of the oven much the same.
