Tim Hortons Croissants Menu in Canada

Tim Hortons croissants are the light end of the bakery case: three croissants in the official guide, from 260 to 350 calories, with checked prices from $2.29 to $2.69. This page also covers the small shelf that sits beside them in the case, the tea biscuits and the savoury pastries, because the official guide keeps that shelf short. It lists two tea biscuits at 250 calories each and one savoury pastry at 240 calories, the lightest item on the page. Six guide rows in total, and every one of them is in a table below with its full guide figures.

Prices are shown as ranges on purpose. Tim Hortons does not charge one national price, so what you pay depends on the restaurant. The ranges below were cross-checked against at least two independent Canadian sources for the Baked Goods hub on October 28, 2026, and the sources sit in the research file behind this page. Calories come from one source only, the official Tim Hortons Nutrition Guide, Canadian Edition, July 2026. One honest gap runs through the second half of the page: neither tea biscuit could be priced from two sources, so the tea biscuits run on calories, with the price marked as not verified rather than filled in from a single sighting. The rest of the bakery case sits on the Baked Goods hub; this page is the croissants, tea biscuits and savoury pastries on their own.

The croissants

Prices are ranges checked on October 28, 2026, because Tim Hortons prices vary by restaurant. Calories come from the official Tim Hortons Nutrition Guide, Canadian Edition, July 2026.

The three croissants split into two plain bakes and one sweet bake. The Plain Croissant is the base item at $2.29 to $2.39 and 260 calories, with 13 grams of fat, 30 grams of carbs and 3 grams of sugar. The Cheese Croissant keeps the same base, adds a cheese filling and runs $2.49 to $2.69 and 290 calories, which is 30 more calories than the Plain for the same 30 grams of carbs and the same 3 grams of sugar. Its protein is a little higher at 7 grams, against 6 grams for the Plain, and its sodium is higher too, at 280 mg against 240 mg.

The Chocolate Croissant is the sweet one, at $2.49 to $2.69 and 350 calories. It has the most fat of the three at 17 grams, the most carbs at 43 grams and by far the most sugar at 18 grams, six times the sugar of the other two. It also has a figure that surprises most people: at 120 mg it has the least sodium of any item on this page, less than half the sodium of the Cheese Croissant. It carries no fibre in the guide, where the Plain and Cheese each carry 1 gram, and it is the only croissant with no cholesterol, at 0 mg against 15 mg for the Plain and 20 mg for the Cheese.

The plain and cheese croissants also work as sandwich bases at breakfast. The scrambled egg loaded croissants built on them sit on the Breakfast page with their own guide rows, so they are not counted again here. Other menu sites list extra croissant flavours, such as Vanilla Matcha, Chipotle Veggie, Biscoff and Nutella. The current Canadian guide prints no row for any of them, so this page lists them by name only and gives no price or calorie figure for them.

Tea biscuits and savoury pastries

Raisin Tea Biscuit

The sweet tea biscuit, at 12 grams of sugar. Its price could not be checked across two sources, so this card prints calories only.

Prices are ranges checked on October 28, 2026, because Tim Hortons prices vary by restaurant. Calories come from the official Tim Hortons Nutrition Guide, Canadian Edition, July 2026. The two tea biscuits print calories only, because their prices could not be checked across two sources.

This is the small corner of the case that most menu sites skip, or fill out with items the current guide does not list. The guide lists two tea biscuits. The Cheese Tea Biscuit and the Raisin Tea Biscuit both run 250 calories, and that is where the match ends. The Cheese Tea Biscuit is the savoury one: 11 grams of fat, 31 grams of carbs, 4 grams of sugar and 8 grams of protein, the most protein of any item on this page. It also carries 610 mg of sodium, the highest sodium figure on the page and a lot for a 250 calorie item, more than double the sodium of the Cheese Croissant. The Raisin Tea Biscuit is the sweet one: 8 grams of fat, 40 grams of carbs, 12 grams of sugar and 2 grams of fibre, the most fibre on the page. Its sodium is also high at 500 mg, though still below the cheese biscuit.

Neither biscuit has a checked price. One source lists the raisin biscuit at $2.29, and one store board lists a tea biscuit at $2.69 without naming the flavour, and neither sighting can carry a price on its own. So the Raisin Tea Biscuit card reads “Varies by store”, the Cheese Tea Biscuit row in the table reads “Not verified”, and no figure is printed for either. The Cheese Tea Biscuit has no card in the plugin set, so the table below is its home on this page.

The Herb & Garlic Savoury Pastry is the one savoury pastry the official guide lists, and at $2.99 and 240 calories it is the lightest item on this page, lighter than every croissant and both tea biscuits. Four sources price it at $2.99. Its guide row runs 11 grams of fat, 470 mg of sodium, 29 grams of carbs, 6 grams of sugar and 6 grams of protein. One honest gap: many stores also stock a Spinach & Feta Savoury Egg Pastry in this corner of the case, but the official guide prints no row for it, so no price or calorie count is given for it here.

Read across both tables and the pattern of this shelf is clear. The sweet items carry the sugar, the Chocolate Croissant at 18 grams and the Raisin Tea Biscuit at 12 grams. The cheese items carry the sodium, the Cheese Tea Biscuit at 610 mg and the Cheese Croissant at 280 mg, with the Herb & Garlic pastry between them at 470 mg. If you want the lightest order on the page, it is the Herb & Garlic Savoury Pastry at 240 calories. If you want the most protein, it is the Cheese Tea Biscuit at 8 grams. If you want the least sodium, it is the Chocolate Croissant at 120 mg, which is not the answer most people expect from the sweetest item in the case.

How this part of the case is baked

None of the six items on this page is mixed and baked from scratch in the store. Since 2003, Tim Hortons has par baked its baked goods at a plant in Brantford, Ontario, then flash frozen and shipped them to each restaurant, where staff finish them in the store’s ovens. That system covers the whole bakery case, the croissants, tea biscuits and savoury pastries included, which is why a croissant in Halifax and a croissant in Winnipeg come out of the oven much the same. This page makes no claim about a freshness window or a bake time for any item, because no official source for one was found for this page.

More from the bakery case

The croissants are one shelf of a bigger case. The full run of bagels, muffins and cookies sits with them on the Baked Goods hub, the muffins have their own page at Muffins, the cookies have theirs at Cookies, and the bagels have theirs at Bagels. For the whole menu in one place, see the Full Menu, and for every item’s price side by side, the Prices page. Full nutrition for all 346 items in the official guide is on the Nutrition Facts page, and allergen detail for every item on this page is on the Allergens page.
